I was brought home to this little house when my parents were a young struggling couple.
I was asked to talk about my family history in this little house.
My family first bought the tiny house and another old shotgun house next door
to this one around 1935 after moving from the farm in Alabama. Several generations
lived in the houses until my great aunt died in 2000. This house was donated,
moved and restored, and turned into a museum for an old forgotten slave graveyard.
Now, thanks to the African American Alliance and the Newnan Historical Society
the past will be remembered.
